Kewaunee County Fair Parade

This year’s theme is Barn in the USA! Kewaunee County businesses, farms, and community groups are encouraged to join the parade with a float or vehicle with a patriotic, agricultural theme! The Kewaunee County Fair Parade will be presented by the Luxemburg Area Chamber of Commerce on Sunday, July 14th at 11:30am in Downtown Luxemburg. No pre-registration is required! Spectators should plan to arrive early to find parking on side streets as Main Street will be closed for the parade route. The parade begins at St. Mary’s Church, heads down Main St., turns left at Ralph St. and then left again at First St. and finally turns right on Elm St. ending at the county fairgrounds. The parade announcers will be located across from the Bank of Luxemburg – Main Branch. The Kewaunee County Fair Parade is an annual event traditionally leading into the final day of the Kewaunee County Fair. It is presented by the Luxemburg Area Chamber of Commerce with support of local government, law enforcement, and dedicated volunteers.

Q. Who organizes the Kewaunee County Fair Parade?

A. The Luxemburg Area Chamber of Commerce organizes the Fair Parade each year.

Q. What is the theme of this year’s Parade?

A. This year’s theme is “Barn in the USA”, a celebration of the American farmer! Lean into Americana, farm animals, and that classic red barn look!

Q. When does the Parade begin?

A. The parade begins at 11:30am.

Q. Where is the Parade route?

A. The parade leads off near St. Mary’s Cemetery on Main Street, then floats will follow from Simonar Shell. The parade proceeds north on Main Street, turning west on Ralph Street, then immediately south on 1st Street. The final turn is west on Elm Street, ending at 2nd Street.

Parade vehicles will need to exit south on 2nd Street – they will not be able to travel north on 3rd Street.

To exit Luxemburg to the north, parade vehicles will need to turn on Ash Street to the west and then travel north on Frontier Road to get to Highway 54.

Q. How do I enter a float into the parade?

A. No registration is necessary – on the morning of the event, simply bring your parade vehicle down Church Road and line up in the neighborhood behind Simonar Shell on Charles Drive, Pine Tree Lane, and Alfred Drive. Our volunteers will route you into the parade exiting Robin Lane and then north on Main Street.

Q. When do I need to line up before the parade?

A. To be eligible for awards, your parade vehicle needs to be lined up before 10am as our judges drive through the area.

Q. Parades are great, but I just need to get through Luxemburg. What is the detour for Main Street?

A. Main Street will be closed to traffic for the duration of the event – to travel around Luxemburg during this time, you will need to use Frontier Road between Church Road to the south and Highway 54 on the north. Please note that while Frontier Road may not appear on map apps, it is a complete road.
