At Ron’s Wisconsin Cheese, we’re more than a cheese company — we are a true Wisconsin farmstead cheese brand built on family, tradition, and craftsmanship. We commit to doing things the right way: using fresh milk from our own herd, caring deeply about quality, and applying hands-on attention in every batch.
Instead of outsourcing, we make all our cheese right where our milk is produced — on Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. This farm–to–creamery connection gives us fewer steps, tighter control, and exceptional freshness. Every squeaky curd, creamy spread, and sharp cheddar block we sell begins with milk we know and trust.
Ron’s Wisconsin Cheese is now owned and operated by Pagel Family Businesses, but we started long ago with Ron and Marilyn Renard in February 1976. In 2005, the Renards sold their share to their sons, who ran the company until Pagel Family Businesses acquired it.
In 2015, we officially became a farmstead cheese operation, meaning we now make cheese directly on Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy. The Pagel family continues carrying forward the Renard legacy of innovation and dedication to pure, wholesome products.
